Editorial Policy
The NicknameStyle editorial policy explains how the stylish-name lists, guides and tools on this site are written, checked and corrected. It covers who writes, what we check, what we mark as not tested and what we will not publish.
Who writes the content
NicknameStyle is published by the NicknameStyle editorial team, an independent group, not a registered company. We publish as an organisation and do not use made-up authors, stock-photo experts or invented credentials. See the about NicknameStyle page for more.
How we work
- One page, one purpose. Before writing, we check whether a page already answers the same question; if so we improve that page.
- Write our own lists. Names, lines and symbol groups are written for this site. We do not copy lists from other generators.
- Check codes against the standard. Unicode code points are checked against the Unicode charts.
- Mark what is not tested. When nobody has tried a style in an app or game, the page says not tested yet. We never invent a test result.
- Date what changes. Platform rules and character limits carry a version or date and are reviewed when the platform changes.
What we avoid
- Copying another site’s content.
- Thin pages that exist only to fill a keyword.
- Adult, hateful or spam names in our lists.
- Asking for your passwords or account details. A name generator never needs them.
Urdu and Hindi text
Urdu and Hindi names appear in their own script with a transliteration and an English meaning. A native reader has not yet checked every meaning, so treat them as a guide and tell us about any mistake.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, tell us on the contact page with the page link. We fix confirmed mistakes, update the page date only when we really revise it, and list the change in the changelog.
NicknameStyle is independent and not affiliated with Meta, Garena, Krafton or any other platform named on the site.
